First day in Sydney before mayhem begins tomorrow was surprisingly relaxed and nice. 
Started with wandering around the streets for coffee, a franctic rush for Giorgio Armani foundation because I left it in Hong Kong (!), watching cute little kids drink hot chocolate while reading my favourite aussie magazines and wandering down to the Circular Quay to get my photographer certified.  Someone told me the weather forecast predicted rainy days but caught beautiful sunrays along Sydney Harbor. 

I think lots of people flinch when I talk about Australian fashion but there is a certain charm to the whole industry.  In Hong Kong, we know Cotton On to be the most recognized Australian brand due it's first store opening strategically located in party central Lang Kwai Fong.  But.... I made an effort to spend the whole afternoon exploring similar top street fashion stores.

Then, it dawned on me.
No country embodies their lifestyle better than Australian Fashion.
Laid-back, comfortable yet stylish at the same time... making it very approachable for daily wear.

I have so many good friends, it's unbelievable.  It gives me something to be thankful for everyday.  You know how there are firends you call in the time of need, friends you have with a shoulder to cry on.  I have lots of those friends.  Sure, we don't all mingle in the same group and we might not see each other all the time but I know in moments of trouble, I know who to speak to.

I can't really think of a better example than my hair, you know how sometimes you just don't really understand how it can be so good and so bad at the same time, that's how my friends are... because at the end of the day, it will always work out.

There is no better way to live.

It was my birthday yesterday and it was a good day.
Very chilled out and unexpected.  I had a lovely lunch and a beautiful dinner.
As you grow older, things get so confusing... it's a little bit puzzling.

I am a little sad that the brisk mornings have come and gone.  Am a little convinced that if I wish a little harder I can huddle in my cocoon of furs, shags and buttery leather.  Speaking of buttery leather, my friend Jen from Cabretta Couture has these utterly divine leather gloves which feel somewhat like second skin.  Mmmmmm.... I am so going to wear leather in the summer. 

Think dusty rose, pale seawinkle green and slightly burnt caramel.
Yum.

It's been a bit chilly in the morning and I struggle with what to wear in terms of not hopping to my preferred choice of jeans and a pullover which resembles a dead sheep.  Been really into DIY holes in shirts (again!) lately and speaking to friends about designing my own cotton line.  Ambitious? I know.... but will start small and make little things and see if anyone likes them?

Thoughts?

最近早上都有点冷所以我都在挣扎除了最喜欢的牛仔裤和羊毛衣以外要穿什么才好.  最近也对在衣服上DIY洞洞 (再一次!) 和跟朋友说起开发自己的棉织衣服.  雄心勃勃? 我知道.... 可能先开始做点小东西看看有没有人喜欢?

有什么建议吗?

Some little  things I have been liking recently...

- Fur throw-overs that resemble fur but not really... meaning if I ever hunted animals, it would be teddy bears from the toy store (That sounds a bit morbid...)
- Loose eye shadow powders which mimic the go-to color scheme for Burberry Prorsum
- Distressed tops where it looks like someone put it through the shredder because it was so ugly
- Dream-catcher inspired jewelry with mock feathers, earthy stones and pretty mixed metals.

Put all of them together... and you get a combination which makes no sense but lots of sense at the same time......

一些我最近喜欢的小事物...

- 有点象征毛的毛衣... 意思是如果我要打猎, 抓的会是玩具店里的泰迪熊 (听起来有点病态...)
- 模仿Burberry Prorsum的go-to颜色系列的碎粉状的眼影
- 看起来像因为很丑所以被丛碎纸机拿出来的上衣
- 从未来不是梦得到灵感的有假羽毛, 天然石和漂亮配搭的金属的首饰.

把它们全部放在一块儿... 你会得到一个没有意思却很有意思的配搭......
