I have so many good friends, it's unbelievable.  It gives me something to be thankful for everyday.  You know how there are firends you call in the time of need, friends you have with a shoulder to cry on.  I have lots of those friends.  Sure, we don't all mingle in the same group and we might not see each other all the time but I know in moments of trouble, I know who to speak to.

I can't really think of a better example than my hair, you know how sometimes you just don't really understand how it can be so good and so bad at the same time, that's how my friends are... because at the end of the day, it will always work out.

There is no better way to live.

It's one of those things I fervently believed in but accidently neglected. 

Getting one of those revelatory moment is one of the best feelings I have had in a while.

I actually ended up tipping all the delivery guys who came up to our office today, believing that it could be my good deed for the day. 

Preparing for an event is hectic but the days preceding the event is like the eye of the storm.

I feel calm, collected and good. 

Seeing the goodies going into the goody bag is positive indication that the event is finally moving somewhere.

为一个项目准备很忙碌但项目前几天好像凤眼一样.

我感觉很平静, 镇定和良好.

My diary has been stuck to my side for the past couple weeks, filled with appointments, meetings and whatever else goes on.  Been obsessed with this clutch because it has that flip-flap mechanism which makes removing business cards at lightning speed easy.  Speaking of lightning, I was at the G-Shock Subcrew party stuck in a lighting storm.  Been wearing nude colored tank tops underneathe sleer thing-a-lings to give off the impression of free nothingness.  Accessorize had a quicky fall-winter collection and gave me some goodies.

Awesome.

TIME AND AGAIN, it's proven that it's always better to have zero expectations and be surprised.  More often or not, I would be disappointed with a situation because I had expectations of how I wanted things to work out. 

These photos were not taken by a professional but merely someone who saw the photos in an artistic and innovative way.  Turns out, it was THE BEST WAY.

曾试过有很多次，不抱任何期望，然后被结果惊喜常常都比较好。更常发生的是，因为我对事情的发展曾经抱有期望而得到失望的下场。

拍这些照片的人不是一个专业摄影师，他只是一个能用艺术和创造性角度看照片的人。出来的结果证明，这是最好的方法。

Work is STRESSFUL and planning is STRESSFUL. 

When everybody wants answers and I only have one answer.

I will try my best to answer each and every one of your questions with the same dedication and consistency that I expect in return.  After all, team work is a two way street.

即将来临的RAFW秀: Miss Unkon, Hussy, Ellery

 

Several designers I am looking forward to seeing at Fashion Week in Sydney next week.  I spoke to my regional assistant, someone who is in charge of looking after my RSVPs and administrative stuff, and she was telling me all the shows I was invited to.  So I sat down and did the unthinkable, crossed off designers who didn't interest me much because I don't have the time to see all of them.  :(  In between external interviews and travelling to a city I have never been to before, there must be a compromise.  Yet, I am very excited because I feel that Australian and New Zealand designers are on the verge of something very exciting: creating real and accessible fashion for everyone.  Now... that's hard.

数个我很期待在下周悉尼的时装秀看到的设计师。我跟负责替我回复和处理行政的地区助手沟通过，她跟我提起所有我被邀请出席的秀。因为我没有时间去看所有设计师，于是我坐下来，除去那些我不太感兴趣的名字。：（在访问和去一个从没去过的城市之间，要找到妥协。可是，我非常兴奋，因为我觉得澳洲和新西兰的设计师是在让人期待的边缘：设计真实和所有人可接近的时装。现在。。。那是很困难的。

What I am more excited to see is the new Ksubi show, it's been a couple years since they had a show and hopefully despite new investors, they will stick true to the artistic vision which made Ksubi so Australian.  They have the closing show this fashion week, am very interested to see what they are coming back with.

让我更期待的是新的Ksubi秀，他们已经有数年没出过秀，希望除了新的投资者，他们会坚持原始很澳洲风雅的Ksubi。他们会在这个时装周里有一个闭幕秀，我很期待他们会带什么回来。

These guys were the first Australian designers I interviewed.

Their drive for fashion was bringing what was essentially Australian and fun to a way of lifestyle. 

RAFW will be fun and stress-free.

I have great hosts and great friends.  Only problem I am worrying about is, what do I wear?

这两个男生是我第一次访问的澳洲设计师。他们对时装的概念是带来从澳洲和玩乐化成生活方式的东西。

RAFW会是好玩的和没压力的。我有很棒的旅游招待和朋友。唯一担心的问题是，我该穿什么好呢？

Rumaging through my email and found a series of photo shoots of when I helped a friend out with some press photos.  He wanted a 'lifestyle and modern' shot of the new hotel we were in.  And this is a photo of me being 'lifestyle-ish and modern'?  It was a good photo session with lots of creative input and experimenting with light.  Very enjoyable and relaxed compared to half of the other ones I have had in Hong Kong.

检查我的电邮，我找到一系列我之前帮朋友出版照片的拍摄。他想在这家新旅馆里拍一张“生活化和现代化”的照片。而这张照片是有点“生活化和现代化”的我？拍摄的过程很好，有很多创新的意念和不同灯光的试验。跟在香港的很多次拍摄比较，这是非常让人享受和松弛的。

Best thing probably was my 'make-up and hair'.  He had nothing to do with the photos and was standing in.  All of a sudden, "Valerie, don't move.  Your hair."

My buddy and I were laughing so hard when we looked through the photos. 

Fun times, I need more of those.

最好的大概是我的“化妆和发型”。其实他跟照片不相干，只是当替身演员而已。突然，他说：“Valerie，不要动。你的头发。”看照片的时候我和我的朋友都笑开了。

我需要更多玩乐的时间。
